Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival - Phnom PenhTour (D)
On arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, transfer to hotel. Phnom Penh was once considered the loveliest city in Indochina. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. A city tour includes theRoyal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace. The Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles.   After visiting both structures, continue to the legendary temple of Wat Phnom from which Phnom Penh gets its name. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Tonle Bati - Phnom Penh (B/L)
Today visit the National Museum, which is dedicated exclusively to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period from the 9th to 15th centuries, but some date from as early as the 4th century. Continue to one of the city’s lively open markets, Psar Toul Tom Pong, also called the “Russian Market”, where anything and everything is for sale. Next visit the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and later the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek. A visit to these two sights provides a deep insight into the painful rule of the Khmer Rouge. Heading out of town visit Tonle Bati with time to explore Ta Prohm and Prasat Yeay Peau Temple. Return to Phnom Penh for overnight.

Day 3: Phnom Penh - Kampong Cham - Kampong Thom (B/L)
Leave Phnom Penh and pass through Cambodia’s biggest growing rubber area to Kampong Cham. The deep contrast of lush vegetation and the red surface of basaltic soil is a feature along the route. On arrival in Kampong Cham discover beautiful French colonial architecture and Wat Nokhor which contains both an ancient temple and a modern-style pagoda. En route to Kampong Thom stop at Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei, two hills whose names were translated as the 'man hill' and the 'woman hill'. After checking into hotel visit some nearby villages and climb 980 steps to the top of Phnom Santuk for an impressive sunset view over the surrounding areas. Overnight in Kampong Thom.

Day 4: Kampong Thom - Siem Reap (B/L)
An early morning start to drive to the archeological site of Sambor Prei Kuk, which is dotted with hundreds of pre-Angkorian temples. The road conditions are poor, but the spectacular scenery of this ancient ruin, with a mixture of temples and forest, makes the journey worthwhile. Continue to Siem Reap, the base for visiting the world-famous temples of the ancient city Angkor, home to the capital of the powerful Khmer Empire dating from 802 AD to 1350 AD. This stunning and extensive site sprawls through dense jungle and covers an area of 60 square miles. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 5: Siem Reap – Angkor Temple  (B/L)
Today spend a full day exploring the ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple, Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares and has galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 6: Siem Reap – Angkor Temple  (B/L)
The jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.  Explore the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Srah Srong, Takeo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda as well as the grand circuit with Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temples. Walk up Phnom Bakheng Hill for a view of the sunset over the monuments. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 7: Siem Reap – Departire  (B) This morning embark on a short cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural body of water. Pass floating villages, friendly children in small boats and fishermen at work. From there transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure to next destination.
